One thing I love when living in bigger cities like Barcelona, is that it is always something new to see or do. Yesterday it wasn’t super shiny, so my friend Ingvild and I decided to switch out the beach for a park. Parc de la Ciutadella is a idyllic and very green oasis. It has a cozy little lake in the middle were you can rent a little rowing boat if you like. Full of birds singing in the trees. Basically it’s the perfect place to go for a walk, a run, to enjoy a picnic or just sit down and relax as we did. For the occasion I used my new flower dress that I found at HM last week. I find this dress to be a perfect dress for fall because of the color of it, and it’s also a dress that can easily be dressed up or down.

After a while we discovered that it was a food festival going on at one part of the park. Of course we had to check that out, it’s food and we are for sure big foodies, haha! The area was full of small cute vans that sold all type of food. We went for a vegetarian burger, that by the way tasted amazing! This food festival was a part of the La Merce festival that is the biggest festival here in Barcelona. These days people have been dancing in the streets, playing music and celebrating. It’s crazy but fun.
Have a beautiful day people.
At the 20th of September, I turned 29 years old. Can’t believe that next year I’m leaving the twenties and enter the thirties! But honestly I don’t stress about my age, is just a number, right? If you ask me, age is all about your mindset.
I started my birthday at school and the rest of the day my best friend plan out for us. We went to a restaurant next to the beach, with the most beautiful view! We had a tasty vegetarian fig and feat cheese salad and of course some vino. The evening was well spent at the beach with some bubbles, before we ended the night at a Vegan friendly restaurant. Here in Barcelona it’s so easy to live plant based, the options is endless. I will make a vegan guide for you guys from Barcelona.
Have a great weekend people!
Hola from Barcelona!
I can’t believe this city, it’s simply amazing. Some days ago my best friend from Norway came to visit me, so we have had great time turisting in the city. If only I could describe Barcelona with two words, it would be alive & cultural. It basically have all you want and need!
Yesterday we met two friends for lunch at the Surfhouse restaurant. Wow, the best Acai bowl I’ve ever had. Great place if your vegan or vegetarian or just want to stay healthy (PS: its’s located next to the beach, so you also get a great view). Later my friend and I took a walk at the promonade, enjoyed a glass of wine next to the beach and absorbed the vitamin D from the sun. That’s what I call a great day.
Wish I could share the sun with all you back home in Norway that has probarbly forgot what the sun felt like!
So this is it, my first blog post is out. I have been thinking so much about this, should I or shouldn’t I start a blog? But finally I made a decision to just go for it! I feel it’s the perfect timing for me personal, to create my own space were I can share my passions in life, a place to keep myself creative and take time out from school and all the work around that.
Right now I’m in Barcelona, I came today and I’m gonna stay here for 12 weeks.I have never been here before, but wow, I can all ready tell that this gonna be an amazing stay! This city is just amazing, it has everything and more. I’m here with an other girl from Norway, so grateful to have a person to share all this with.
Today we spent our time walking around the neighborhood, that happened to have the biggest Sephora in Europe (oh, did you say heaven?). We also found this very cozy restaurant that served fresh pressed juices and delicious salads, just how I like my food! Now we are in our hotel, just finished the day with a sheet mask and facials.
If you have been in Barcelona before, please give me some tips about places to see, what to do and places to eat.
