Hi guys! I hope you all had a great new year celebration. I spent the new years eve with my family, so nice since I was away from them all Christmas. So weird to think that we just started a new year! I feel that this is a period that many of us do reflect over our lives, what we have achieved so far, how we feel and so on. For me 2018 was a year were I learned a lot about myself in so many ways, and about friendships and people around me.
I don’t have any specific new year’s resolutions for this year. I choose to focus on the small things I can do every day that will give me a little bit more joy and happiness on a daily basis. I truly believe that if we do small things every day that makes us happy or fill us with positivity, it will make a huge difference in our life.
Under is a list over what I want to do more of or start doing this year to become the best and happiest version of myself!
Getting back on track with my healthy habits: If it’s one thing I’m really interested in it must be health and lifestyle. For me to feel energized, motivated and good about myself, I need to take care of my body from the inside out. When I eat lots of greens, fresh juices, plant based meals and drink enough water, I truly feel a positive difference in my body and mind! I will also get back to a good workout routine. This year I want to mix up my workout with doing a mix of weight lifting, running, hiking, yoga, pilates and dancing. Workout for me should be fun, keep me active and give me a functional body.
Spending more quality time with people that I want to keep in my life: Be aware of who you spend your time with. Sometimes you have to be selfish to “protect” your positivity and your own happiness. Who you surround yourself with will have a huge impact on your energy level. For me it’s important that I can be myself, be honest and be accepted for who I am. I want to surround myself with people who makes me feel good in their company. Since I spent much time of 2018 away from my home, I will make it a priority to spend more quality time with my beloved ones this year.
Be more creative: I always feel good when I’m using my creative side, it fills me with positivity. This includes everything from trying out new recipes in the kitchen or finding new outfits or playing around with new makeup looks. Or maybe try something new as a DIY project, like making some home decoration etc.
Staying organized: This is a must for me to feel my best. I’m one of those persons that loves to have a to do list, and gets very satisfied when I can cross out each thing on that list! I like to keep things around me clean and organized. We just had a huge clean- out of our closet just before new years, and it felt so good, haha!
Self love: Practice self love is so important and can make a huge different in your everyday happiness. Taking care of yourself like you would take care of a person you love. Smile to yourself and tell yourself nice things. Be your own best friend!
This was my list of things that I’m gonna focus on this year to make me the best version of myself. I hope it gave you some thoughts around these things or some inspiration to do more things of what makes you happy.
